Reflection

It's hard for a person to comprehend any tragedy, like the the Holocaust. it is very hard to imagine 17 million innocent people being torchered, gassed, shot, starved and worked to death. No one will ever realize the excruciating pain and suffering that these people had to live through. These innocent people could have found the next cure for cancer or AIDS. They could have been the person to find life on a different planet or the person who finds how to prevent earthqukes, tsunamis and hurricanes. We will never know who these people were and who they could have been. Most poeple going into the camp did not know that walking into the camp was going to be their last good byes' with their loved ones. These people would do anything just to see their family members one last time. I have learned to take life as it comes and one moment at a time.  Sometimes I don't realize how fortunate I am to be living my life free and peacefully with my loved ones.

TAKEN TOO SOON:
Innocent lives in the hands of a killer.
A madman who makes no sense.
How does it ever get this far?
Many will die, few survive.

The future teachers, doctors and scientists
All disposed of without regard.
Who will their savior be?
Who will stop the madness?

Does anyone hear their screms?
Does anyone hear their prayers?
Have mercy on their souls,
For they have done no wrong.
